Here at TMG, we promote a culture of collaborative learning. As a person who enjoys creating and problem solving, I am thrilled teaching Excel models and excited to share my knowledge with others. But it’s easy to forget that not everyone shares the same level of experience or passion for Excel… and I run the risk of losing my audience if I don’t take that into consideration.
Here’s my tip: Whether teaching, presenting, or just working in a team, it is important to assess your audience. What brought them to you? What value will they gain? These are things I take into consideration when structuring my classes, and it should be a critical step for all presenters when preparing material.
So far, I’ve received rave reviews from colleagues about my Excel classes. So I must be doing something right!
