If you’re using QuickBooks Online, you’ll probably have learned that accounts, classes, recurring journal entries, items, customers and vendors could not be inactivated—the only option was to delete it. Recently, QuickBooks Online FINALLY added the option to inactivate items, customers and vendors, but you’re still stuck with accounts, classes, and recurring journal entries that may not be used anymore. This can lead to EXTREMELY lengthy lists to sort through. How do you make this easier to browse through? Try renaming each inactive account to begin with a “Z-“ in front of it so that they automatically move to the bottom of the list! Voila!
